It is\r\n something to ponder upon. However, the second part, about\r\n Mohammad [pbuh] wrote it' contains more extensive proof.)\r\n\r\nBesides the above mentioned sources, Quran couldn't possibly\r\nhave been written by ANYONE else.\r\n\r\nNo other source is possible, because Quran is written in pure,\r\nrich, and poetic Arabic, which was not known to anyone other\r\nthan the above mentioned sources, at that time. The Arabic\r\nlanguage was at its peak in expression, richness, vocabulary,\r\nartistic, and poetic value during the time the Quran was being\r\nrevealed. Anyone speaking the classical Arabic ( the Arabic of\r\nQuran at the time it was revealed) would argue that a non-Arab\r\nentity couldn't possibly have written such an extensive and\r\nbrilliant piece of literature in the Arabic language. Quran\r\ncould only have been written by an Arabic speaking entity. An\r\nentity, who's knowledge, style, vocabulary, grammar, and way of\r\nexpression was so powerful that it impacted the entire Arabian\r\npeninsula, the east, the west, and continues to impact people\r\nall over the globe today!<\/pre>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<pre>\r\nAt no other time, in the history of Arabic language, had it ever\r\nachieved its peak in expression, literature, and development,\r\nthan the time of Arabia during the 6th Century, the time when\r\nQuran was being revealed. At no other time in the history of\r\nArabic language had the language ever achieved its highest\r\npotential than the time of Arabia during the 6th Century, the\r\ntime when Quran was being revealed. The language reached its\r\npeak in richness, artistic value, and poetry, during that\r\ntime. With the Arabic language at its peak, and the best of\r\nArabic writers, poets present in Arabia, it is impossible that a\r\nnon-Arabic speaking entity would write a book like Quran and\r\nhave such a dynamite impact on the Arabs!\r\n\r\nSo only an Arabic speaking entity could have write Quran. With\r\nthat in mind, we're left with three choies:\r\n\r\n1 - the Arabs wrote it\r\n\r\n2 - Mohammad (pbuh) wrote it\r\n\r\n3 - Allah (swt) wrote it\r\n\r\nLets examine the three choces one by one.\r\n\r\n(1) Arabs Wrote it ? ---------------------\r\n\r\nWhat Quran teaches goes DIRECTLY against the pagan Arab culture,\r\nreligion, and gods, that existed before the Quran was revealed.\r\nQuran condemns idol worshipping, but the Arabs, loved their idol\r\ngods, and worshipped them regularly. Quran raised the status\r\nof women; the Arabs treated women next to animals. The Arabs\r\nwould never write something that goes against their most\r\nimportant belief of idol worshipping. Quran goes against most\r\nof the social habbits (such as backbiting, slandering, name\r\ncalling, etc) which the Arabs were heavily indulged into. For\r\nexample, the Arabs would call insulting nicknames such as Abu\r\nJahal (the father of ignorance). Quran condemns and prohibits\r\ntaking interest on money, whereas, the Arabs freely levied heavy\r\ninterest rates in loans and businesses. Quran condemns and\r\nprohibits Alcohol drinking, whereas, the Arabs consumed alcohol\r\nfreely. The Quran condemns and prohibits gambling, whereas,\r\nthe Arabs were some of the worst gamblers. The Arabs would\r\nnever write something so comprehensively against just about all\r\nof their customs and culture and religious beliefs, as the Quran\r\nis.\r\n\r\nDuring the time of the Holy Prophet (pbuh), the Arabs would\r\nindulge in all the social habbits that the Quran condemns and\r\nprohibits. How can Arabs then write something that would negate\r\ntheir entire society's norms and ideologies ?\r\n\r\nDid a group of Arabs or an individual Arab write Quran? Perhaps\r\na rebel Arab beduoin, or a society's misfit, or someone with\r\ndifferent ideals and norms decided one day to write Quran? The\r\nanswer to those questions are also 'no'. Because, if we read\r\nQuran, we notice that there is no author ! No individual has\r\nhis\/her name written on the cover of Quran! Anytime an\r\nindividual writes a book, he\/she writes his\/her name on the\r\ncover. The author's name always appears on his\/her book, and\r\nthere is always an author who is credited for writing that book.\r\nNo one in the history of the world has EVER claimed to have\r\nwritten the Quran, nor anyone's name ever appeared in front of\r\nthe Quran as bein the 'author'. This is the only book in the\r\nworld without an author. No one in the world has ever been\r\naccused of writing the Holy Quran, except the Prophet Mohammad\r\n(peace be upon him), by non-muslims.\r\n\r\nQuran has no author, and no group or individual in Arabia ever\r\nclaimed to have written it, nor any group or an indvidual\r\nrecited, taught, and explained Quran except the Prophet Mohammad\r\n(pbuh) and his followers. The Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon\r\nhim) was the only Arabian who first practiced, explained, and\r\npreached Quran, and ended up making a lot of Arab tribes\r\nenemies. Any historian, Muslim or non-Muslim would argue that\r\nthe only possible source of Quran can be the Prophet Mohammad\r\n(pbuh), the man responsible to recite it, teach it, and expalin\r\nit to the people of Arabia. In fact, many historians today\r\nstill think that only Mohammad (pbuh) could possibly have\r\nwritten it.\r\n\r\nThis leads one to conclude that the Prophet (pbuh) must have\r\nwritten it !\r\n\r\n(2) Mohammad (pbuh) wrote it ? ------------------------------\r\n\r\nFirst, he was illiterate !! How can an illiterate person come\r\nup with such a rich, poetic, intellectual, and inspiring text\r\nthat it rocked the entire Arabia ?\r\n\r\nMohammad (pbuh) never went to school ! No one taught him. He\r\nhad no teacher of any kind in any subjects. How can he have the\r\nknowledge of all the science, astronomy, oceanography, etc that\r\nis contained in the Quran ? ( For example, the mention of\r\nocean currents, stars, earth, moon, sun and their fixed paths in\r\nSoorah Rahman; and many other scientific statements that are\r\nfound in Quran, that I cannot state in this short article)\r\n\r\nWhen Quran was revealed, the Arabic language was at its peak in\r\nrichness, poetic value, literature, etc. Quran came and\r\nchallenged the best literature in Arabic, the best poetry in\r\nArabic of the time. Mohammad (pbuh) being illiterate couldnt\r\npossibly have come up with something so immaculate that it even\r\nexceded the best of poetry, and literature in Arabic at the time\r\nof the language's PEAK development. Arabic language had never\r\nbeen so rich in expression, poetic value, vocabulary, and\r\nvariety in literature, as it was in the time of Quran. At a\r\ntime like this, Quran came and exceeded the best of Arabic in\r\nall aspects of the language: poetry, literature, expression,\r\netc. Any classical Arabic speaker would appreciate the\r\nunbeatten, unchallenged, and unmatched beauty of the language of\r\nQuran.\r\n\r\nAn illiterate man is simply not capable of writing such a book.\r\n\r\nMohammad (pbuh) had no reason to come up with something like\r\nQuran, and cause the entire society of Arabia to become his\r\nenemy. Why would he do something like that? Why would he write\r\nsomething going against almost all of the norms of the society,\r\nand lose his family, relatives, friends, and other loved ones ,\r\nand not to mention all the wealth he lost ?\r\n\r\nQuran was revealed over a period of 23 years ! A very long\r\ntime! Is it possible for someone to maintain the same exact\r\nstyle of Arabic speech , as demonstrated in Quran, for over 23\r\nyears ?\r\n\r\nAlso, what the prophet Mohammad (saaw) used to say is recorded\r\nin what we call his hadeeth (sunnah). If we look at the Arabic\r\nstyle of the hadeeth, and compare it with the style of Quran, we\r\ncan clearly see that they are clearly DIFFERENT, and\r\nDISTINGUISHABLE Arabic styles. The prophet (saaw) spoke in\r\npublic. It does not make sense that a man has two UNIQUE,\r\nDistinguishable, and completely different styles of speech in\r\npublic. Yet another reason why Mohammad (saaw) couldn't\r\npossibly have written Quran.\r\n\r\nQuran was revealed over a period of 23 years ! A very long\r\ntime! Is it possible for someone to maintain the same exact\r\nstyle of Arabic speech , as demonstrated in Quran over 23 years\r\n?\r\n\r\nHere's what our famous Muslim Scholar, Ahmad Deedat said:\r\n\r\n[From Ahmed Deedat]\r\n\r\nWAS QURAN WRITTEN OR INSPIRED? ------------------------------\r\n\r\n \"Behold! The angels said: \"O Mary! God has chosen you and\r\n purified\r\n you - Chosen you above the women of all nations.\"\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t Qur'an-3:42\r\n\r\n\t\tTHE SOURCE OF HIS MESSAGE\r\n\r\n\"Chosen you above the women of all nations.\" Such an honour is\r\nnot to be found given to Mary even in the Christian Bible!\r\n...........\r\nKnowing full-well, and believing as we do, that the whole Quran\r\nis the veritable Word of God, we will nevertheless agree, for\r\nthe sake of argument, with the enemies of Muhammed (pbuh) for a\r\nmoment, that he wrote it. We can now expect some cooperation\r\nfrom the unbeliever.\r\n\r\nAsk him, \"Have you any qualms in agreeing that Muhammed (pbuh)\r\nwas an Arab?\" Only an opinionated fool will hesitate to agree.\r\nIn that case there is no sense in pursuing any discussion. Cut\r\nshort the talk. Close the book!\r\n\r\nWith the man of reason, we proceed. \"That this Arab, in the\r\nfirst instance, was addressing other Arabs. He was not talking\r\nto Indian Muslims, Chinese Muslims, or Nigerian Muslims. He was\r\naddressing his own people - the Arabs. Whether they agreed with\r\nhim or not, he told them in the most sublime form - words that\r\nwere seared into the hearts and minds of his listeners that Mary\r\nthe mother of Jesus -A JEWESS- was chosen above the women of all\r\nnations. Not his own mother, nor his wife nor his daughter, nor\r\nany other Arab woman, but a Jewess! Can one explain this?\r\nBecause to everyone his own mother or wife, or daughter would\r\ncome before other women.\r\n\r\nWhy would the Prophet of Islam honour a woman from his\r\nopposition! and a Jewess at that! belonging to a race which had\r\nbeen looking down upon his people for three thousand years? Just\r\nas they still look down upon their Arab brethren today.\r\n\r\n\t\t SARAH AND HAGAR\r\n\r\nThe Jews get their cock-eyed racism from their Holy Bible, where\r\nthey are told their father, Abraham, had two wives -Sarah and\r\nHagar. They say that they are the children of Abraham through\r\nSarah, his legitimate wife; that their Arab brethren have\r\ndescended through Hagar, a \"bondwoman\", and that as such, the\r\nArabs are inferior breed.\r\n\r\nWill anyone please explain the anomaly as to why Muhammed (pbuh)\r\n(if he is the author) chose this Jewess for such honour? The\r\nanswer is simple - HE HAD NO CHOICE - he had no right to speak\r\nof his own desire. \"IT IS NO LESS THAN AN INSPIRATION SENT DOWN\r\nTO HIM.\" (Qur'an, 53:4).\r\n\r\n\t\t\t SURA MARYAM\r\n\r\nThere is a Chapter in the Holy Quran, named Sura Maryam \"Chapter\r\nMary\" (XIX) named in honour of Mary, the mother of Jesus Christ\r\n(pbuh); again, such an honour is not to be found given to Mary\r\nin the Christian Bible. Out of the 66 books of the Protestants\r\nand 73 of the Roman Catholics, not one is named after Mary or\r\nher son. You will find books named after Matthew, Mark, Luke,\r\nJohn, Peter, Paul and two score more obscure names, but not a\r\nsingle one is that of Jesus or Mary!\r\n\r\nIf Muhammed (pbuh) was the author of the Holy Quran, then he\r\nwould not have failed to include in it with MARYAM, the mother\r\nof Jesus, his own mother - AMINA, his dear wife - KHADIJA, or\r\nhis beloved daughter - FATIMA. But No! No! this can never be.\r\nThe Quran is not his handiwork!\r\n\r\nAnother Muslim writes:\r\n\r\n-----------------------------------------------FORWARDED\r\nARTICLE---\r\n\r\nFrom: Abu Abdullah; Subject: Re: Mohammad Wrote the Quran ??\r\n[KORAN] Date: Sat, 05 Aug 95 12:44:14 EDT\r\n--------------------------------------------------------\r\n\r\nI was reading about the charge that the prophet, Mohammed\r\n(pbuh), has written the Quran himself. Before you go any further\r\nin reading this post, please ask yourself whether you are a\r\nhonest truth seeker or just another argumentative person, if the\r\nformer, continue, otherwise, save your time and jump to the next\r\npost.\r\n\r\n Islam is based on faith that is supported by a number of\r\n strong miracles such as knowing what events to take place\r\nahead of time or coming up with supernatural deeds in front of\r\npeople. The holy Quran has these signs and much more. First, The\r\nholy Quran predicted many events to take place ahead of the time\r\nof the revelation of that verse; for example, predicting the\r\ndestruction of Persian empire at a time where the later had a\r\nmonumental victory over Rome. If the prophet, as some people\r\nclaim, has written the Quran, then he would have put his future\r\nin real jeopardy (50% chance) since neither satellite photos nor\r\non-ground intelligence personnel were available to him at the\r\nrevelation time. Further, numerous details about many natural\r\nphenomena were detailed in the Quran and, until recently, they\r\nwere proven by experts to be amazingly accurate. For example of\r\nthe physical development of the fetus inside the womb along with\r\ntiming given by many verses matches exactly what leading\r\nauthorities in Embryology are claiming to be recent\r\ndiscoveries. Moreover, verses that gives descriptions about the\r\ncreation of the universe and the function of mountains in\r\nbalancing earth and many other descriptions\/explanations are\r\navailable to be read and to be understood. If the prophet was\r\nthe author, wouldn't he be prone to make weak inferences similar\r\nto those who claim that earth is square and whoever says\r\notherwise should be killed?\r\n\r\n The prophet also has demonstrated many supernatural\r\n miracles not by his own power, but by the power of the\r\ncreator. He went to Jerasalem back in one night and gave a\r\ndetailed description of the carnival that was traveling on that\r\nroute and also specific accedint happend to them at that noght\r\n(in those days, it takes a month or so for a round-trip). In\r\nanother ocasion, he provided water for an entire army from a\r\nsmall plate between his hands. There are many other miracles\r\nthat require serious truth seeker to read about and to think\r\nabout it.\r\n\r\n From the above, it reasonable to conclude that the Quran is\r\n not the\r\nPROPHET CREATION. HE HAD NO WAY TO PREDICT ALL THESE EVENTS AND\r\nTO BE RIGHT ALL THE TIME, ESPECIALLY WHEN KNOWING THAT THE\r\nPROPHET HIMSELFE WAS ILLITERATE !!!\r\n-----------------------------end-forwarded-article---\r\n\r\n------------------------------------------------------------\r\n\t Embryology and Life Sciences in Quran\r\n-------------------------------------------------------------\r\n\r\n\"The Developing Human.
