So hold fast to jihad, and the best of your jihad is\u00a0<em>Ribat<\/em>\u00a0(i.e. guarding the frontier in the face of enemies), and the best and most virtuous of your\u00a0<em>Ribat<\/em>\u00a0is \u2018Asqalan (Ashkelon).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Related by al-Tabarani on the authority of Ibn \u2018Abbas (r) in al-Mu\u2018jam al-Kabir #11138. In fact, as mentioned by Shaykh Salih al-Munajjid (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/islamqa.info\/ar\/answers\/199310\/%D8%AD%D8%AF%D9%8A%D8%AB-%D9%81%D9%8A-%D9%81%D8%B6%D9%84-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%B1%D8%A8%D8%A7%D8%B7-%D8%A8%D8%B9%D8%B3%D9%82%D9%84%D8%A7%D9%86\">here<\/a>), the area was known as \u201c<strong>\u063a\u0632\u0629 \u0639\u0633\u0642\u0644\u0627\u0646<\/strong>\u201d (\u201cGaza Ashkelon\u201d).<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Gaza is facing a land invasion. Almost 3,000 children have been murdered by \u2018Israel\u2019. What is required is for the Muslim armies to take action now. Insha\u2019Allah if they were to do so then the above hadith of our beloved Messenger\u00a0<strong>\ufdfa<\/strong>\u00a0would apply to them as well as the fighters who are ready to face the Zionists now.
